This Report gives you a detailed breakdown of electric bikes from our team of engineers who test the product themselves. Unlike other electric bike reviews, we will be covering all the important factors related to e-bikes.
Our engineers had the privilege to test the Delfast Top 3.0. The electric bike holds a Guinness World Record for the greatest distance traveled on a single charge by an electric bike. Well, it has its cut on the pricing side though, while best competing with the Eahora M2 3000W with a slightly better speed, but double the price.
Let’s see what the hype is about:
Performance
Apart from being a Guinness World Records holder, the bike has also received other awards; the best all-terrain electric bike from Insider, the fastest electric bike for 2021 according to Forbes, and e-bike of the year for 2019 by New Atlas.
The electric bike can go up to 200 miles on a single charge and can reach up to 50 miles per hour. Our engineers were impressed by the performance of this electric bike and said it felt like riding a regular motorcycle.
Comfort
A premium suspension coupled with an upright seat position gives you a comfortable ride throughout no matter which terrain you are on. The seat can also be adjusted according to your preference and features a gel saddle from Selle Royale.
If you run out of battery, the e-bike is very heavy to move around as its total weight is 154 pounds. Moreover, it is only available in one size which was a little troublesome for our taller engineers.
Otherwise, the electric bike does offer sufficient comfort.
Appearance
The Delfast Top 3.0 is styled like a dirt bike and our engineers appreciated how the look went with the performance. Moreover, it comes in 5 colors; black, white, orange, red, and blue.
The only flaw that our engineers noticed in the design was that the rear wheel seemed like a separate component since it wasn’t under the seat of the e-bike. It seems like it is detached from the frame which looks a little strange.
Price
The Delfast Top 3.0 is selling for $ 6,599 but before we give our final word, let’s review how the e-bike did on all the metrics:
Performance | 5 out of 5 |
Comfort | 3 out of 5 |
Appearance | 3 out of 5 |
Price | 3.5 out of 5 |
Total | 3.5 out of 5 |
The Delfast Top 3.0 stands out because of its performance. Otherwise, it is more or less like the competition. The price is certainly high but you are paying for premium performance.
We recommend this electric bike to people who love high speeds and like to go off-road. If you are not a fan of how far and fast the e-bike will go, you should not spend so much money on this one.
The electric bike has received a decent share of awards, however, all of them are related to performance. Therefore, if performance matters, this is the one for you. Otherwise, stick around for better options.
