The Merlin Report gives you a detailed analysis of the latest electric bikes by a team of professional engineers who took the time out to test these bikes for you. The engineers will be providing their feedback in terms of performance, comfort, appearance, and price.
The reason for conducting this is to help you make better decisions when you consider buying or upgrading to a different electric bike. You can compare the Merlin Reports of different e-bikes to choose the one that is right for you. Today we will be reviewing the Urban Arrow Family.
Performance
For a cargo electric bike, the urban arrow performs up to the mark. Even with loaded cargo, you can easily ride the bike with ease and even go uphill without putting in too much effort.
Urban Arrow has also introduced a new step-less gear system combined with a Bosch motor. Our engineers noticed that the cargo electric bike can easily beat some non-cargo electric bikes uphill with this advanced system.
Comfort
The Urban Arrow Family was made to facilitate family members on one electric bike. It was made to offer comfort and the bike surely delivers it. Not only is it comfortable but it maneuvers quite nicely as well.
The light frame, step-less gears, electric pedal assistance, and a cargo box placed in the center and lower than most of the other e-bikes, make this e-bike quite comfortable for the rider and passengers. The cargo box is also very soft from the inside.
Appearance
For a cargo electric bike, the Urban Arrow Family looks quite good. Usually, cargo bikes have a very bulky look but this electric bike has a sleek design and the cargo box is placed so strategically that it does not spoil the appearance of the e-bike.
White and black colors are used to complement the sleekness of the bike and reduce the size of the cargo box visibly. If you attach a rain cover to your cargo box, your electric bike will resemble the Batmobile!
Price
The Urban Arrow Family is being sold at $5,999. Before we can judge if the e-bike is worth it, we will have to review all the metrics:
Performance | 3.5/5 |
Comfort | 4.5/5 |
Appearance | 3/5 |
Price | 3/5 |
Overall | 3.5/5 |
The biggest advantage of owning the Urban Arrow Family is the extra space you have to store your essentials or take your kids on a ride. Moreover, the extra space is perfectly complemented by the utmost comfort offered by this e-bike.
Still, the e-bike is a little pricey, and to buy this or not mainly depends on what your needs are. If you need something with high performance at a low price, this e-bike is not going to be right for you. However, if you need a cargo e-bike to move things around or passengers, this might be one of the best options out there.
Therefore, buy the Urban Arrow Family if space and comfort are your major requirements.
