This Report gives you a comprehensive analysis of physical products by a team of experts. Our engineers have taken the time out to review these products to help you make a better purchase.
This report is about an electric bike from Aventon called the Pace 500. Our engineers had the chance to test this product themselves and will give you an overview of the bike’s performance, appearance, comfort, and price. Note that these engineers have expert-level knowledge when it comes to the e-bike’s mechanisms.
Performance
The Pace 500 can reach speeds up to 28 mph and on average, you get a range of 40 miles on a single charge. The electric bike also has a throttle that eliminates the need to pedal.
The hydraulic disc brakes also work like a charm, so when you are cruising at around 20 mph, it is easy to bring the e-bike to a halt. Moreover, the e-bike is lightweight, weighing only 49 pounds, so it is easier to control the e-bike and easier to bring it up to top speeds.
Comfort
Due to its lightweight and strong frame, the e-bike is quite comfortable to operate. Furthermore, the comfort is enhanced through 15 degrees swept-back handlebars, Velo comfort saddle, and ergonomic grips.
The only problem that arises is because of the lighter weight. The bumps on the road are felt strongly as compared to electric bikes that are heavy and have a good suspension.
Overall, the e-bike is quite comfortable, especially due to the adjustable stem that allows you to position yourself according to your preference.
Appearance
If you prefer minimalist designs, then you will appreciate the appearance of the Pace 500. It looks pretty much like your standard bicycle.
Moreover, the LCD comes with a backlight and gives you all the information that you need. The only problem is that the display is as basic as the e-bike itself. It isn’t visually appealing at all.
The e-bike isn’t charming and neither are any components. However, there are no design flaws, so, if you need something that will get the job done, the Pace 500 will not disappoint.
Price
The Pace 500 is not that expensive as it sells for $1,599 but before we give our final verdict, let’s take a look at how the e-bike is measured on different metrics:
Performance | 3.5 out of 5 |
Comfort | 3 out of 5 |
Appearance | 3 out of 5 |
Price | 4.5 out of 5 |
Total | 3.5 out of 5 |
The best feature of the Pace 500 is its price. You are getting a decent e-bike that performs decently at a very low price compared to other electric bikes in the market.
Overall, the performance of the e-bike is pretty decent as it gives you good speeds and a good range. Comfort-wise, the only problem is the bumps on the road; otherwise, it is pretty comfortable.
It doesn’t have a strong visual appeal, but again, it does get the job done.
We recommend buying this e-bike if you are making your first e-bike purchase. You will be able to experience the joy of an e-bike without spending too much money.
